First, you will need to get two cuts of 3/4" plywood PER bar kit.  For the Omega GX / ITGX / PX / PIUX and Necrodancer dance pads you must get a 3/4" 35"x35" AND a 3/4" 35"x40.5" sheets of plywood for the Omega TX you must get a 3/4" 35"x38" AND a 3/4" 35"x43.5".  Most hardware shops will cut these for you and you can get both sheets from the same standard 4'x8' sheet in the store.  The paint is oil-based so it does not rub off easily and will not be affected by water/sweat.

The bar kit comes with 8 pieces of velcro, two flanges, a threaded and bent bar, a 2x6 with cutouts for the flanges and holes for the bar, and all the wood screws you will need for this project.

Tools needed: Power Screw-driver, screw bits, drill bit (to tap the holes for the screws), and three clamps.

Directions:

1. Push the bar through the holes in the 2x6
2. Screw the flanges on the ends of the bar by hand very tight
3. Drill small holes for the flange supports under the 2x6
4. Screw the 1" screws as tight as possible to mount the flanges
5. Clamp the 2x6 to the top of the longer plywood sheet using all three clamps
6. Drill holes for the longer screws that will hold these two pieces of wood together
7. Screw in the 2" screws, be mindful that you do not hit the flanges.  Separate the screws to give a good bond
8. Lay four pieces of velcro in the corners of the base plywood
9. Lay the smaller plywood on-top evenly this piece adds height and weight to the base
10. Lay four pieces of velcro in the corners of the smaller plywood
11. Lay the dance pad on top, it should be nearly flush with the 2x6

  • Height 38" bar height above pad
  • Width 24"
  • Depth 1" bar diameter
  • Weight 23lbs
